I want to blame these rantings on the indicated over-the-counter medication. The truth is that this is the sort of thing that I think and write even in a sound state of mind.

Say it ain't so
My boss and I occasionally disagree. The great thing about our working in a public forum is that our grievances get aired out in front of the entire world (or at least the dozen people who read our blog entries).

Book learnin' and such
Here's the truth: I love what I do. I'm proud of what I do. I can accept that there are people who don't see the value in philosophy specifically, or a liberal arts education generally. What I can't accept is that the people in charge of our students' liberal arts educations don't understand what a liberal arts education is.

I am really sick of debating whether Superman or Batman is the better superhero.
